There Is No Time More Fitting To Say Thank You! PP464

October 20, 2019

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players!

The Lovely LeAnne is our hostess this week and she has a fabulous Clean and Simple Challenge for all of us.  Say It "LOUD" is the theme.  Use a sentiment as the focal point.  WOW--so many possibilities.
Remember, for clean-and-simple, you need to keep your layers and embellishments to a minimum!

My card is created on a white card base.  I cut a scalloped layer and used Distress inks and a blending tool to create the background.  I used Peacock Feather  and Twisted Citron Inks.  The sentiment is heat embossed in gold using the Simon Says Stamp Thankful Heart stamp set.  I added a few gold sequins.  You know CAS is difficult for me.  Every card needs "alittle" bling!

2.  Upload your creation to your blog with a link back to us.
3.  Please provide a direct link to the post featuring your challenge entry.

Thinking of You Paper Players PP459

Sept. 15, 2019

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players!

The marvelous Anne Marie is our hostess and she has a fantastic CAS challenge for all of us!

Marvelous Metallics….incorporate any metallic (silver/gold/copper/rose gold/even
colored foil) element on your project.

By Clean and Simple, we mean cards that meet the following criteria:
Minimal layers and embellishments
Plenty of open space, aka "white" space
Simple and uncluttered

My card is created on a white card base.  I added a gold foil and a white layer that I cut  with stitched rectangle dies.  The leaf is from Neat and Tangled.  I used the Oak Leaf Die to cut the outline in gold foil.
I created background using distress oxide ink on a piece of water color paper.  I then cut the other leaf die in this set leaving all the little pieces in tact to add to the gold center.  I love the way it turned out.  I added a sentiment in black to complete my card.

 Challenge Rules: Paper Players Challenge

1.  Create a NEW paper, or digital, project.
2.  Upload your creation to your blog with a link back to us.

Happy Birthday With Love PP458

Sept. 8, 2019

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players!

The amazingly talented Ann is our hostess this week!  She has a beautiful color challenge for all of us!  Don't you just love these rich fall colors?  We can't wait to see what you create!

My card is created on a Merry Merlot card base.  The next layer is cut with a stitched die in Pretty Peacock.  I created a smooched watercolored panel using several shades of blue Distress Oxide Inks.  The bottles are stamped in Cajun Craze using the   Bottled Up stamp set from The Greetery.  I cut them out with the matching dies.  The daisies are from Clearly Besotted "Celebrating You".  I used the matching dies to cut them out.  I colored the daisies with Copic Markers.  The centers of the daisies are stamped with Cajun Craze.  I must admit, I had trouble using this color combo, but now I absolutely love it!  Thank you Ann, for making me step out of the box.

What's Moo? Paper Players #457

September 1, 2019

Can you believe it is September?!?!  I can't!
I am sad summer is slowly coming to an end, but I love Fall, too!

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players!

The lovely LeAnne is our hostess this week and she has a fabulous theme challenge for all of us!  "Down on the Farm" is right up my alley!  I grew up on a small farm in Indiana and I will always be a Hoosier at heart.  I love all my precious memories of living there.  I wish children could experience the life I had as a child.  Lots of animals, riding on a tractor, a huge garden and lots of corn everywhere were highlights of my childhood.

My card is created on a white card base.  I used the gingham and barn scene paper from SugarPea Designs Countryside Charm Patterned Paper .  The little farm girl, the cow, the goat and the sentiment are all from the SugarPea Designs Barn to Be Wild stamp set.  I colored the images with Copic Markers and added Wink of Stella for shine.  I used the matching dies to cut all the pieces out.
The sentiment is stamped on white and I cut the banner end with scissors.

Grateful Paper Players #456

August 25, 2019

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players!

The Lovely Laurie is our hostess this week and she has an amazing sketch for all of us!  I love this layered sketch and I had so many ideas for ways to use it! It is definitely a keeper!

My card is created on a white card base.  I added a panel of dark brown and plaid for my background.  The circles were cut using circle dies from coordinating papers.  The sweet little girl is from the Pure Innocence My Favorite Things collection.  It is called Jumping with Joy!  I think this set is retired.  I colored her with Copic Markers and paper pieced her Fall outfit out of matching scraps of Fall paper.  The leaves are from the same stamp set and colored with Copics.  The wood grained rectangle anchors the sketch and the sentiment is stamped on it using the same stamp set.
