Hello Paper Players PP481

March 8, 2020

It's Sunday and it's time for a new challenge at The Paper Player!

The lovely Laurie is our hostess this week and she has a gorgeous color challenge for all of us!  I love these bright colors.  They remind me of the beach.

My card is created on a white card base.  I added a Bermuda Bay panel on top of the card base.  I then added a white panel embossed with polka dots for the next layer.  The Botanical dies are from the Feb. Small dies monthly club at Spellbinders.  I absolutely love these colors for these dies.   I cut the sentiment out 5 times and stacked them for dimension.

Paper Players PP480

March 1, 2020

Can you believe it is March already???  This year is flying by!

It's time for a new challenge at The Paper Player!

The Amazing Anne Marie is our hostess this week and she has a fun theme challenge for all of us!  Who doesn't love embossing?  It is like magic to me.  I think that is truly one of the reasons that I started making cards.  I was so intrigued with it!

My card is created on a white card base.  I used a blue plaid patterned paper for my background and cut it with a fun die.  I used an Easter Egg die to cut the center panel.  I used a cloud stencil and distress ink to create all the clouds.  Then I used a grass die from Lawn Fawn to cut out the grass on green plaid paper.  I trimmed the grass with the egg die, too.  I heat embossed the little bunny in his carrot card with gray embossing powder.  I colored it with Copic Markers.  The sentiment is from the same stamp set from Your Next Stamp.  I stamped it in Versa Mark ink and heat embossed it with black embossing powder.  Wink of Stella was added for shine!

Look Who's Turning 40 Paper Players PP479

Feb. 23, 2020

It's time for a new challenge at The Paper Players!

The amazingly talented LeAnne is our hostess this week.  I just love this fantastic sketch she created for us.  This is so versatile and it will be fun to see all of your creations!

My twins turned 40 a few weeks ago, so I used LeAnne's sketch to make their cards.  I used a wood grained background and used some fun red, white and blue papers from my stash.  The 40 was cut using the Stampin Up Large Number Dies.  The sentiment is from the Stampin Up Number of Years stamp set.  I added two red enamel dots on the corners.

Sunny Days Ahead Paper Players PP478

Feb. 15, 2020

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at ThPaper Players!

The incredibly talented Jaydee is our hostess this week and she has a FUN Clean and Simple Challenge for all of us.  Any one that reads Jaydee's blog enjoys all the fabulous visitors she has in her yard each week.  She is a nature lover and the wonderful friends that visit her home are mesmerizing.  She captures fabulous photos and I look forward to viewing them every Sunday.

I must admit, I am ready for Spring.  I am not a fan of winter, so warm weather, longer days and outside activities makes me happy!  In Atlanta, I see Redbud trees blooming and tulips popping up.  I am afraid it is a little early, but we will hope for the best.   I decided to make a little fox holding his "Sunny Days Ahead" sign.  I cut a floral piece of patterned paper with a scalloped die for my simple background.  The fox is created using Lawn Fawn Woodland Critter Hugger Dies.  I used a variety of paper scraps and the dies to create this colorful fox.  The sentiment is from an old Simon Says Stamp set I found in my stash.

Blowing You A Kiss Paper Players PP477

February 9, 2020

Today is a very special day for me.  My Twins, Joe and John turn 40 today!!!!!!!!!  How did that happen?  Life certainly flies by.  They have brought me so much joy and I look forward to many more special times together.  I don't get to see them often, but I am so happy they are doing well, have beautiful families and talk to their Mom almost every day.  You can't ask for more than that.

It is time for a new challenge at The Paper Players!

The amazingly talented Ann is our hostess this week and she has a beautiful color challenge for all of us!  We are so excited to see what you create!

My card is created using a white card base.  I added a black panel and then a red flowered patterned paper.  Then, I cut the SugarPea Designs Dangle Hearts Cover Plate in pink and added it to the top.  I cut a black circle with a SSS stitched die and cut a coordinating flower circle to place on top of the black circle.  The little girl is from MFT Pure Innocence Blowing Kisses stamp set.  I colored her with Copic Markers and paper pieced her dress with polka dots.  I added a little red heart in her hands.  This is for my Grand Daughter Victoria.   This little girl reminds me of her.  The sentiment is from the same stamp set.  This color combo is so fun because the black adds a fun element to the red and pink.  Thanks Ann for a great color combo to work with.

Love Is In The Air Paper Players #476 #TGIFC249

Feb. 2, 2020

It's hard to believe it is February!  Time sure does fly!  February is a busy month at my house.  Five family birthdays and Valentine's Day requires a lot of cards!  I need to get busy!

It's time for a new challenge at The Paper Players!

I am the hostess this week!  With Valentine's Day just around the corner, it was easy to pick a theme.  "Love is in the Air" is my choice and I know the gallery is going to be filled with amazing projects all related to "LOVE"!

I am also entering my card in the TGIF Challenge.

I am a huge fan of the MFT Pure Innocence stamps.  I think I own most of them.  I just love to color these sweet girls and they make fun cards.

My card is created on a white card base.  I used Real Red to cut the SugarPea Designs Dangle Heart Cover Plate.  I added a panel of pink on the top of my base and adhered the heart panel next.  The MFT PI Soft Place to Land set was used for my image.  I colored her with Copic Markers and paper pieced her pillow.  The sentiment is from the MFT PI Love Is In The Air stamp set.  I added Wink of Stella for shine on her dress, heart and hair.

Your Heart is One in a Million Paper Players 475

Jan. 26, 2020

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players!

The amazingly talented Joanne is our hostess this week.  She has a fabulous sketch for all of us.

I had a lot of ideas for this challenge, but I am way behind on my Valentine stash, so I decided to go with hearts.

My card is created on a white card base.  I added a stitched panel in Rich Razzleberry.  I trimmed a white panel with a postage die and embossed it with polka dots.  The hearts are stamped in Rich Razzleberry and Strawberry Slush inks.  The hearts are from MFT Cute Conversation Hearts stamp set.  I cut the hearts out with the matching dies.  The sentiment is from MFT Sweet Nothings Sentiments stamp set.  I backed the white triangle with Strawberry Slush card stock.  A ver simple card, but I know everyone loves conversation hearts!
