I've Bean Wondering--FMS279

March 19, 2017

I love Rita's sketch at Freshly Made Sketches!  I have not had much time to play along lately, but made sure I found a few extra minutes today to make a card and play with a stamp set that I have had laying on my desk for weeks screaming, "INK ME, PLEASE"!!!!

My card is created on a white card base.  I know the "DT" loves a lot of white space, but I just had to do the plaid from Lawn Fawn 's Perfectly Plaid paper pack.  The rectangles were cut using SugarPea Designs Stitched Rectangle Dies.  The banners were cut using the MFT Stitched Fishtail Flags Dies .  The jar and bean were stamped using Lawn Fawn's How You Bean Stamp set and Dies.  I colored the pieces with Copic Markers and added a few pop up beans with faces using dimensionals.  Wink of Stella was added for shine.

So happy you stopped by my blog today!  Hope you have "bean" doing well!

I'm So Hoppy We Are Friends! FMS 276

February 25, 2017

It's a gorgeous day in Atlanta, GA!  I found a few minutes to play along with the Freshly Made Sketches challenge.  I love the sketch this week.

My card is created on a white card base and the next layer is Melon Mambo card stock.  The background was created using Nuevo Peony Pink and  Nuevo Aquamarine mousse.  It was so fun working with these two products.  A polka dot stencil was used, too.  The little bunnies were stamped on Neenah Solar White paper and colored with Copic Markers.  The Hoppy Friends stamp is from Your Next Stamp and I used the matching die.  I added Wink of Stella to the bunnies.  A strip of grass was cut using the Lawn Fawn Meadows die using a scrap of green card stock.  The sentiment is from the same set.  This card is made with love for someone I Love!

I hope my card made you smile!  I love it!

Thanks for stopping by!

It's The Little Things-FMS 274

February 10, 2017

I am playing along with the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge today!  I love this clean sketch and the DT has fabulous inspiration.  Stop by their blog!

My card is created on a white card base.  I added a pink polka dot embossed background.  The stork and sentiment are from SugarPea Designs- Bundle of Joy.  I colored the stork with Copic Markers and fussy cut it.  I paper pieced his blanket and added a little pink heart.  Glossy Accents were added to the heart.  Wink of Stella and pearls were added for fun.  Perfect for a little girl coming to a special family!

Thank you for stopping by my blog today!  Wishing you a wonderful weekend!

Happiness Is Coming--FMS273

February 5, 2017

It's Super Bowl Sunday.  Most people are probably at parties, but I am in my craft room.  I am not a huge football fan, but since I live in Atlanta, I will "RISE UP" and watch the game and cheer for the Falcons!  SO proud for our city!  It is a huge accomplishment and so many people are having fun!  That makes me smile!

Today I am playing along with the Freshly Made Sketches challenge.  I was excited about the sketch.  I had a very special card to make and it was perfect for the idea I had in mind.

A very special friend is expecting a little girl.  She has been a wonderful inspiration to me.   I wanted her to know that I am praying for her and I am "THINKING PINK"!!!!!

My card base is white.  I cut a pink rectangle and a white rectangle using SSS stitched Rectangle dies.  I used a piece of watercolor paper and watercolored some different shades of pink.  I mixed several shades of red and pink together to get the three tones.  I cut them using the MFT Wonky Stitched Rectangle dies.  The pregnant girl is from Stampingbella-Baby Carriage.  I colored her with Copic markers and used the matching die to cut her out.  Wink of Stella and a few clear sparkling sequins were added.  The sentiment is from the same stamp set.

SO happy you stopped by my blog today!

Sending You Lots of Love--FMS 272

January 25, 2017

Today I am playing along with the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge.  When I first looked at the sketch, I was a little puzzled.  I wasn't sure I could come up with an idea.  I absolutely love what the DT did with this sketch.  They are all so creative!

I started looking through the mess on my table and decided to use the new Lawn Fawn Happy Mail  mailbox die for my card.  I used the die and cut the mailbox from Very Vanilla and the post from Crumb Cake.  The little flag is Real Red.  I attached a pink heart brad I found in my stash.  The flag actually moves up and down!

I used Tim Holtz Distress inks to create the blue for the large circle and the grass.  I cut the circle with the SugarPea Designs Zig Zag Stitched Circle die.  The grass is cut using the Lawn Fawn Meadow Borders die.

I cut the two envelopes from the Happy Mail die with Valentine paper.  You can actually open each letter for a message. The sentiment is from My Creative time and stamped in Memento Black ink.

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today!  I love to hear from you, so please leave a comment!

I JUST LOVE YOU!--FMS 269

January 8, 2017

I am suppose to be cleaning my craft room, but got side tracked when I saw the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches.  I just had to play along!

My white card base came alive with the Valentine DSP strip and the heart border.  MFT I Heart You image was stamped on Neenah Solar White and colored with Copic Markers.  Glossy Accents were added on the heart on the book, her hair barrette and her shoes.  I paper pieced the book with the same DSP as the strip on the side.  The sentiment is from the same stamp set.  A few sparkling clear sequins were added for fun.

Thanks for stopping by my blog!

Have a fabulous day!

Follow Your Dreams--FMS259

October 19, 2016

It was a beautiful day in Georgia, but I found a few minutes to sneak in my "tepee" to make a card.  I am playing along with the Freshly Made Sketches challenge.  My super talented friend Linda is the hostess this week!

I bought this stamp set a few months ago and have been waiting to ink it up.  This simple sketch was perfect to showcase this buck.  My card is created on a white card base.  The next layer is Bermuda Bay.  The top white layer is trimmed with a stitched die.  I stamped chevrons from Papertrey Ink Noted Stamp Set in Cajun Craze and Bermuda Bay on this layer.  I stamped the sentiment in Bermuda Bay.  The stag and sentiment are from Newton Nooks Adventure Awaits.  I used Crushed Curry to stamp the stag and trimmed it with an oval die.  I sponged Bermuda Bay ink on the oval shape.  Enamel dots were added to complete my card.

Thanks for stopping by my blog.  I love to hear from you, so please leave a comment if you have a minute!

Bring on the Boos! --PP316 and FMS 257

October 9, 2016

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players!

This week the sensational Sandy is our hostess!  She has a fun color challenge for all of us to play along with!  We can't wait to see what you create!

I am also using the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches.  Jen M. is the hostess this week.  I hope she won't mind that I changed the shape a little on my card. :)

The base card is white and I cut a piece of Halloween paper with spider webs all over it with a stitched rectangle die.  I thought the pumpkin pie color and black was perfect for my background.  I just received this Martini Lady stamp set from So Suzy Stamps.  I LOL'd  when I first saw it.  My dear friend LOVES martini's.  I knew I had to make a card for her using this set.  I thought the off set rectangle gave her more pizzazz!  I used a retired SU stamp set called "Making Spirits Bright" to stamp the Halloween martini!  The eyeball really sets it off, don't you think?  I colored it with a Wild Wasabi marker.  It is the only place I use this color, but I felt it worked perfectly.  I fussy cut the glass and added it to my "martini girl's " hand.  I used Wink of Stella to make it shine.  The sentiment is from the same set.  I added pearls on her necklace!  All "southern" girls wear pearls.  LOL!

So happy you stopped by my blog today!  Please leave a message!  I love to hear from you!

Thankful For You--cQc #361--PPA320--JUG #362

September 29, 2016

I had time to play in the "tepee" today.  I love Fall and received a new stamp from Stamping Bella.  It was perfect for three challenges.  That never happens to me.

The color palette at Colour Q made me smile!  I love Tempting Turquoise.  One of my all time favorite colors.

Dawn's fantastic sketch Pals Paper Arts was perfect to showcase Fay.

Just Us Girls Challenge is all about Fall.  Check out all these challenges for lots of inspiration!

My card is created on a white card base.  The next layers is a piece of retired paper from Stampin' Up!  The stamp set is from Stamping Bella Fay Loves Fall.  I stamped Fay on Neenah Solar White paper and stamped the image in Momento Rich Mocha ink.  I colored her with Copic Markers.  I really am happy with the results.  Linen Thread, Wink of Stella and candy dots were added to complete my card.

THANKS SO MUCH for stopping by!

Give Thanks For All Things--FMS256-Addicted to Stamps #213 and More-The Heart Desires #4

September 28, 2016

I have been waiting for the perfect sketch for this new stamp set.  The Freshly Made Sketches team posted a new challenge and it was just what I was looking for.

I am also linking my card to the Addicted to Stamps and More Challenge.  They are celebrating "HOLIDAYS."  My favorite holiday is Thanksgiving!  It is a day of family, food and
football. (for some)  LOL!

I also found a new challenge to me The Heart Desires.  It has a variety of way to play along.  There is a sunflower in my cornucopia and the colors are all used in my coloring.

My card is created on Crumb Cake card stock.  The top layer is from my paper stash.  I know this is a retired SU paper.  I cut it using the Lawn Fawn Stitched Party Banners. The main image is from the Stamping Bella-Casey Has A Cornucopia.  I must admit, this took a LONGGGG time to color.  I love the results, but I don't think I will be making many cards with her.  LOL!  I used Copic markers and added Wink of Stella to give her some shine.  The sentiment is stamped in Versa Fine Cocoa ink.  Enamel dots and linen thread were added to complete my card.

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today.

Trick or Treat--FMS 255

September 25, 2016

I am playing along with the Freshly Made Sketches challenge this week.  I had several ideas for this fantastic sketch, but I need a few Halloween cards for my stash, so I went with my first thought.

I love Halloween!  Maybe it is because I spent so many years teaching Elementary School.  It is such a fun day for children.  Dressing up, pretending to be someone else and trick or treating!  What's not to like?

Theses adorable penguins are off for a night of fun.  Looks like their favorite  treat is goldfish.  My grands love those, too!  This set is from Your Next Stamp-Waddles-Trick or Treat.  I colored them with Copic Markers and cut them out with the matching dies.  I distressed the white panel with Hickory Smoke Distress ink after I cut it out using the SugarPea Designs Zig Zag Stitched Rectangle Dies.  Some bats and stars were heat embossed in the night sky.  A black enamel dot was added on the orange panel.  The sentiment is stamped in black Versa Fine ink.  Wink of Stella was added for shine.  The one little penguin is trying to catch up with his buddies!  Hope they get lots of treats.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
