Comfort-CMCC No71

May 13, 2015

It's been a few weeks since I have been able to play along with the Colour Me Challenge, so when I saw the colors, I knew I had to make a card!  I love Melon Mambo and Pear Pizazz.  They make such a striking combo.

I am IN LOVE with the new Winnie and Walter release!!!!  I just received my happy mail from them the other day!  My card base is white (5 1/2 x 4 1/4).  I used the new Multifaceted Cutaway with Melon Mambo for the cutaway.  I watercolored Melon Mambo on watercolor paper and then used the In Bloom: Maggie's Roses Cutaway to cut out the base of the roses.  I then used the top layer cut out and on white paper.  It made the Melon Mambo pop after I adhered it to the watercolor base.  I love the layered dies!!!!!  Then I used Pear Pizazz to cut the two layers of the leaves.  Just WOW!  I think you will be seeing a lot more cards with these dies!  I cut a rectangle from vellum to ground the roses and sentiment.

I used the The Big and Bold Comfort Cutaways and cut the word "Comfort" five times and stacked them for a 3D effect.  Wink of Stella was added to the roses, leaves and sentiment for shine and glimmer.  Sequins from Pretty Pink Posh were added for more shine.

Thank you for stopping by today!

I love to hear from you, so please leave a comment!

Lots of love!
